Martyr's Park
Hopefully these clips are clear enough. I had to export them on low quality because the files were too big to email to the blog. They are both from Martyr's Park in downtown Changsha to commemorate people who died in the Communist Revolution. A huge public park. It has a massive monument, huge lake, cool birds (some I've seen many I haven't), an amusement park, manicured gardens, and did I mention the birds? Anyway, one is montage of what it is like for us to be a huge novelty as a family, and to visit very friendly people who don't have our same social conventions. Like staring, and speaking to strangers about what exactly is on your mind. But like I said, they are very friendly, so there are no awkward situations. The amusement park is permanent, but more like what we'd call a fair. They are not trying to be Busch Gardens (though they do have an Asian version of a log flume). Or maybe we have an American version of their water ride? It was a stunner to see chickens roaming free though!
