These pics go back to Beijing. Familiar sites from the olympics. We caught them at the perfect time. Just late enough that there was no sunlight. Yet early enough in the evening that the lights had not been turned on. So if you move your face slowly forward and back, squint your eyes, and turn your head so you recruit as much peripheral vision as possible, and try to recall what the "Birds Nest" and the "Water Cube" looked like...you can just make them out in these pictures. The cube is in the distance off to the left in the one picture. Just starting to light up. No such luck with nest. But it is dead center and takes up most of the field of view.
